Inventing Tomorrow

(Sundance Film Festival) Environmental degradation is tackled by high school students at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.  It’s amazing and great to see what these 3 groups of students concoct based on the challenges they face in their countries.  They look to better their countries environments and make a difference leaving me wondering if the American students were as thoughtful.  Reminding me of a “behind the scenes of robotics or a spelling bee”, the director has the right idea and certainly has passion.  However, it’s a bit long and occasionally confusing as she tries to stay true to her original course but strays into personal lives, hints of romance and long lingering over the course of the fair.  Another important film your interest is peaked as you root for the kids but, not quite date night worthy.
