Delightful! This view of how Dickens came about writing A Christmas Carol is almost as much fun as watching Danny Kaye in Hans Christian Anderson. Dan Stevens seems to rely relish his role and Christopher Plummer is is usual great self. It’s interesting in that Dickens helped increase charitable giving and breathe purpose into a dying holiday. It seems we could use him now to find a way to return us to that sentiment vs commercialization of the celebration. Beautifully shot, at times like a play, the director did a nice job with Dickens and his players. A nice holiday movie, date night worthy.
