The first thing that struck me was how well the music matched the film. Props to composer Nick Cave. Performances were great. Elizabeth Olsen was appropriately inappropriately cast as she tried to keep up with her talented cast. Jeremy Renner was relatively consistent with his hint of an accent and is always fun to watch. He can really rock a white snowsuit! The story is an important one that none us know about – Indian Women on reservations – will say no more so I don’t spoil it. It’s a good movie but perhaps see it at home with some margaritas. There is violence, minimal in comparison to other films, including the death of a an animal so be prepared. Not necessary to see it in a theater but enjoyable that way. Going to take a chance and say yes on date night but don’t expect action afterwards!
