Menashe – Filmed with a lot of heart this inside look into the life of a widowed man with a child in a deeply religious community is interesting. You never think of the story from the point of view of a single parent orthodox Jewish man and the pressures he faces from the community – not too uncommon for any single dad. Delicately balancing humor with drama, the film is relateable! Although, I wonder if much is missed by non jews. Almost date night worthy, wait to stream or see in your local JCC!
